In 2022, the font world saw an influx of new and incredible font families added to MyFonts. The team at MyFonts has carefully collected and curated all the data to present you with the Top 25 Best-Selling NEW Fonts of 2022. This list is a testament to the amazing work done by foundries and their designers in 2022 alone. With so many unique fonts available, it’s no surprise that some have stood out from others, but what makes these designs special? We had the opportunity to hear from some of the designers and teams responsible for creating these top-selling fonts about their inspiration, design process, and challenges they faced along the way. Their stories provide insight into how each font came to be and showcase just how much creativity can come from a simple concept.

#3 Seriguela by Latinotype
Seriguela is flavor in motion and each part of its system works together to captivate you, combining emotion and usability, allowing you to create attractive and unique designs.
Seriguela followed a very distinctive recipe to design its alphabet: it started with a grotesque base and applied movement and joy in a very original way. The blacker and more contrasted, the tastier.

The Hernández siblings, started a ping pong of drawings based on Bulfinch found in the 1912 ATF catalogue. From this exercise, Hernández Bros was designed, a modern Sans Serif, with 8 weights ranging from Extralight to Black. This is an elegant font, with beautiful and harmonious contrasts, which makes it ideal for titles, brands, editorial design, magazines among others.

Fontanella is a typeface designed by Coto Mendoza, which emerged from calligraphy and manual drawing exploring the skeleton and classic proportions of Roman capital letters. This initial process later gave rise to a sans serif family composed of 8 pesos and its italic variants. It also includes small caps, old numbers and width variants in the set of alternates. The slightly enlarged x-height makes it perfect for composing short texts in editorial, fashion, branding, magazine, television, window display and other media projects.

Because all good things can get better. Texta was born in 2014, a collaborative project of the study of humanist models from Edward Johnston to Adrian Frutiger. Texta Pro is a contemporary and rational sans, almost invisible, but not quite. It is a workhorse for any type of project.
